A flipped classroom is when students learn outside of the class or their "homework", and then when they get to class they do activities that normal classrooms. This way the teacher can be present to help students with activities and any misunderstandings about the lesson. Sometimes students do not really like this because it can be hard for individuals to teach themselves and try to learn a whole lesson to be able to do activities in class. Open educational resources are resources that anyone can use. These resources are usually online. The word "open" means that the resource grants permission for free, can be edited, and usually can be shared. These resources can be easily be found and used. Being in this class was my first time working with Diigo. At first it was very hard to understand some of the tools on the site but then I got the hang of it and it was easy to use some aspects. In the classroom I think it can be helpful for students to share information found maybe to be used for group projects or classroom activities. For teams this can also be the same way to be used by easily sharing information such as articles or documents. Bloom's Taxonomy is used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity. The six objectives can be used when creating an educational power point to show to students. The first one is creation which can basically be the creation of the actual presentation. The second one is evaluation which can be used to evaluate the logistics and the content of the actual power point so that it will be helpful and useful when teaching your students. I think twitter is very easy to use and navigate through. The benefits of using twitter is how easy and convenient it is and how simple it is for anyone to get information out the the public. For me personally, I find out a lot of news stories through twitter because of their easy features. Twitter has an explore page with trending tweets or news tweets that can be very helpful to anyone. Another benefit is the different uses that twitter has. You can write info, post pictures or videos, comment on other people's tweets. Its a variety of things. I have been using twitter for awhile now so I have not run into any issues or confusion when using it for the class. Teacher pages on a school website can be very helpful to students and teachers. It makes it easy when all these pages are located on the school website. The school site that I looked at had all the teachers names with a link to a separate page about their classroom. Most of the pages have information such as teacher contact info, assignments, documents, ect. I feel like mostly teachers want to put the most important information on the page so it is always accessible to students and parents. The activity I did for this project was an activity on Lynda.com. This activity was all about educational technology and how teachers can use them on a daily basis in their own classroom. It was very easy to use Lynda.com and navigate through the activity. It was interesting to see all the different educational technology examples that were named throughout the activity because there were a couple that I did not know about. This was my first time using Diigo. I think this site can be very useful for group work or just for sharing information with peers. I liked how easy it is to navigate and to see the information other people share if you are in a group together. I also liked how it can be attached to chrome which makes it easy to bookmark articles or sites. It also was nice to have tools like highlighting and taking notes very handy to you. This was also the first time I had done blogging for a class but it is very similar to discussion posts which I have done in other classes. I think blogging is a good way to get your thoughts out and an easy way to see other people's thoughts. I think for opinionated writing it is a better tool than a teacher just assigning a writing assignment to do through word.
