Being in this class was my first time working with Diigo. At first it was very hard to understand some of the tools on the site but then I got the hang of it and it was easy to use some aspects. In the classroom I think it can be helpful for students to share information found maybe to be used for group projects or classroom activities. For teams this can also be the same way to be used by easily sharing information such as articles or documents.
Bloom's Taxonomy is used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and specificity. The six objectives can be used when creating an educational power point to show to students. The first one is creation which can basically be the creation of the actual presentation. The second one is evaluation which can be used to evaluate the logistics and the content of the actual power point so that it will be helpful and useful when teaching your students. The third one is to analyze, this would mean to analyze the relevance of the content and how it relates to your lesson plans. The fourth one is application. this can relate to how students apply the content in the presentation to their knowledge or to the knowledge they should be learning about. The fifth one is understanding which can relate to both the instructor and the students. It will be important for the instructor to understand what they are teaching and also for the students to understand what they are learning. Lastly, the objective of remembering. This can come to play when making a presentation so you do not put so much information into the presentation but instead you are able to talk a lot so you can engage with all the students.
Professional development is used to describe the kinds of lifelong learning that teachers engage in. Now with the increased technology in schools, the traditional ways of teacher professional development are not used as much as they have been previously. There still are a few of these resources but today technology has helped with so many things and makes it easier for teachers to access this kind of content. One site that I found that teachers can use to keep up to date on the different educational technologies is called 'The Ed Tech Round Up'.

My name is Nicole. I am a sophomore here at Florida State University majoring in Business Management with a minor in Education. I am from Miami, FL. I enjoy watching and playing sports. My prior experience using educational technology is mostly with a lot of Microsoft applications such as word, excel, and power point. I would say i am very proficient with all three of these applications. I have also been using canvas here at the university with all of my classes. I have also used some game sites for class such as second life which has an interactive world with lessons based on whatever subject. In this class I hope to learn about the different educational technologies that teachers have and can use.I believe I am familiar with only a few that are to there and hope to learn about more. ILP 1 Participation: Educational Technology for Student Success

The activity I did for this project was an activity on Lynda.com. This activity was all about educational technology and how teachers can use them on a daily basis in their own classroom. It was very easy to use Lynda.com and navigate through the activity. It was interesting to see all the different educational technology examples that were named throughout the activity because there were a couple that I did not know about. Word is a very common application used as a student now in time. I have used word for quite some time with writing assignments or something else. For the most part I think I have used word for almost every single class since high school. Word is very easy and helpful when trying to format a document or type something up. I feel as if teachers also use word as much as students do. Now in college teacher post many documents such as notes and study guides. From what I can remember I think we learned about copyright and plagiarism when we were younger and how it is bad. I think now that technology and the world wide web is so easy to access it is important for students to know what they can and can do with the information they find from websites.
